JEMPSONS is a successful, family-run, independent British haulage firm which has become one of the larger transport enterprises in the UK with over 100 years experience and an equally impressive track record to suit.

The first motorised vehicle, a model T Ford, was purchased in 1924 by John Jempson who then developed a well earned slice of the freight industry through hard work and diligence. Within 10 years the fleet had grown with acquisitions of vehicles such as a J-Type Thornycroft (pictured right), Model Ford A's and a Leyland Bull, all playing an integral part in establishing the company that now holds the respect of locals and professionals throughout the trade.

The present managing director, John's son Jonathan has built this successful company to its current size. Now running a fleet of 85 vehicles and 160 trailers, we are equipped to meet the high demands of a modern vehicle service, without jeopardising the standards of our traditional, well established roots.
